Building Contracts

County and municipal jurisdictions may hold collections of 19th- and 20th-century building contracts.  

More likely, though, such collections may have been acquired by historical societies or university libraries.  

Please respond if you are aware of collections of old building contracts, and please provide as much detail about these collections as possible to help evaluate their utility for architectural research.  

Include the jurisdiction (state/county/municipality) that collected / filed the contracts, the range of years that the contracts cover, the types of buildings and structures covered (residential, commercial, civic, industrial, etc.), and a contact person with their phone number and email address, for following-up.
